Long-eared Owl
In eastern Oregon, it occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with any area of lakes/reservoirs. In central Oregon, it occurred mostly in hexagons with more than 8% bitterbrush - big sagebrush shrubland. In southwestern Oregon, it occurred mostly in hexagons with a relatively cool (for that region), July minimum temperature (hex. max.) of 10-11 C. The logistic regression analysis showed weak positive or negative association with canyon grassland and shrubland, extent of the hexagon's most extensive land cover type, April precipitation (hex. max.), April precipitation (hex. min.), May precipitation (hex. max.), topographic variation, and the extent of public land.
